Aromatically opens up the flow of energy. Aids external genital rashes and the gastrointestinal system. |
Dosage
The typical proportion when added to a constitutional formula is 6:1 formula to addition (15 grams in 75-
90 grams of formula). If a stronger effect is desired more can be added. When used alone the dose is three
grams twice daily. |
Indications
* Premenstrual breast swelling, tenderness, lumps, fibrocystic breast disease.
* Dysmenorrhoea, lower abdominal distension associated with the menstrual period. |
Cautions and contraindications
Caution in patients with heat or fluid deficiency patterns with low grade fever.
None noted. |
Combinations
* With Si Ni San for breast tenderness or lumps coupled with irritability. |
