Qian Shi

sweet, astringe, neutral tonifies the Kidney, stops emission, reduces urination, strengthens the Spleen, stops diarrhoea, treats leucorrhoea


Major therapeutic action
Nourishes the Kidney, stops emission.

 Dosage
The typical proportion when added to a constitutional formula is 6:1 formula to addition (15 grams in 75- 90 grams of formula). If a stronger effect is desired more can be added. When used alone the dose is three grams twice daily.

Indications
o  Spermatorrhoea, leucorrhoea caused by Kidney deficiency.
o  Chronic diarrhoea due to deficiency of the Spleen and the Kidney.

o  For chronic diarrhoea, add Si Shen Wan.
