sweet, sour, balanced; Heart, Spleen, Liver and Gallbladder.

Major therapeutic action
Nourishes the Heart, calms the Spirit, arrests sweating.

 Dosage
The typical proportion when added to a constitutional formula is 6:1 formula to addition (15 grams in 75-90 grams of formula). When used alone the dose is three grams twice daily.

o  Deficiency of yin and Blood, sweating due to deficiency.
o  Neurosis, arrhythmia, cardiovascular diseases, acute mountain sickness.

o  For palpitation and insomnia due to deficiency of yin and Blood, combine with Liu Wei Di Huang Wan.
o  For palpitation and insomnia due to deficiency of qi and Blood, combine with Si Jun Zi Tang & Si Wu Tang.
o  For sweating, combine with Mu Li/Fu Xiao Mai/Ma Huang Gen.
