Influence over the pitutary-adrenal cortex

Andrographolide, deoxydandrographolide, 14-deoxy-11, 12-dideoxyhydro-andrographolide and neoandrographolide at large doses could induce the atrophy of thymus gland juvenile mice, which indicates that the could increase the functions of adrenal cortex.

Effects on the central nervous system

Yanning-3 and Chuan Hu Ning Injection had obvious sedative effect.
