Pericarpium Citri Erythrocarpae is the dried exocarp of Citrus reticulata Blanco and its cultivars (Fam. Rutaceae). The ripe fruit is collected in late autumn and early winter, the exocarp is splited and collected, dried in the sun or in the shade.
ju hong has similar functions to chen pi, but ju hong has stronger effects of drying Dampness and dissolving Phlegm.
