Os Draconis is the bone fossil of ancient mammals. It's digged and collected all round the year, washed from earth and sand, stored in dry place.

Miscellaneous effect

Being absorbed, the calcium salt contained in long gu could promote blood coagulation, lower the permeability of the blood vessel wall, and inhibit the excitation of the skeletal muscle.

Hyperthyroidsim accompanied with severe hepatitis

Tui Huang Ruan Jian Fu Gan Tang (Yin Chen Hao Tang plus long gu, mu li, qing dai, zhe bei, 15g each; chuan shan jia, guang yu jin, 10g each; hai zao 12g) was used to treat 6 cases of hyperthyroidism accompanied with severe hepatitis. Shen San Qi Fluid and other routine treatments were also applied. All cases survived. 5 cases had good conditions in the 3-year follow-up survey.

Adolescent dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Yi Qi Gu Jing Tang (tai zi shen, haung qi, huai shan yao, 30g each; duan long gu, dang gui, 25g each; xu duan, qian cao gen, pu huang, wu ling zhi, fu ling, chao bai zhu, 15g each; melted e jiao, 15g ; san qi powder, 10g, gan cao 6g) was used to treat 75 cases od adolescent dysfunctional uterine bleeding. 2 months as a course of treatment. 54 cases were markedly effective, 19 effective and 2 ineffective.

Infantile epilepsy

Ding Jing Zhi Xian Tang (fu ling 20g; long gu, mu li, 15g each; chen deng xin 1g; bai jiang can, chan tui, di long, gou teng, tai zi shen, shan yao, sheng mai ya, 10g each.) was used in a therapy for infantile epilepsy. 12 cases were treated and 10 cured.
