Medulla Tetrapanacis papyriferi is the dried stem pith of Tetrapanax papyrife-rus (Hook.) K. Koch. (Fam. Araliaceae). The stem is collected in autumn, cut into sections, the pith is taken out when fresh, arranged and dried in the sun.
