Herba Speranskiae seu Impatientis

Herba Speranskiae seu Impatientis is the dried whole plant of Speranskia tuberculata (Fam. Euphorbiaceae), or Impatiens balsamina (Fam. Balsaminaceae). The former is collected in May and June when blooming, dried in the sun and sliced; the latter is collected in summer and autumn, removed from stems and dried in the sun.

The stems of Impatiens balsamina contains kaempferol-3-monoglucosides, quercetin, pelargonidin, cyaniding, delphinidin. Its whole plant contains gentisic acid, ferulic acid, P-Coumaric acid, sinapic acid and caffeic acid, etc..
