Caulis Bambusae In Taeniis is the dried middle shavings of stem of Bambusa tuldoides Munro, Sinocalamus beecheyanus (Munro) McClure var. pubescens P. F. Li or Phyllostachys nigra (Lodd.) Munro var. henonis Stapf (Fam. Gramineae). The drug is collected all the year round. After peeling, the greenish middle layer of stem is cut into sliver or shaving, bundled, and dried in the shade. The former is called "Sanzhuru" (Scattered Bamboo Shavings) and the latter is called "Qizhuru" (Uniform Bamboo Shavings).

Antibacterial effect

zhu ru had strong antibacterial effect on staphylococcus albus, bacillus subilis, bacillus coli and typhoid bacillus.

Infantile diarrhea

chao zhu ru 10g; su geng, huo geng, mu xiang, bai zhu, fu ling, bian dou, ou jie, 10g each; chen pi, ge gen, 5g each; bai dou kou 3g. Modify the formula according to accompanied symptoms. Water decoction. The formula was used to treat 256 cases of infantile diarrhea, and 251 cases were effective.

Acute gastritis

For vomiting in acute gastritis of Stomach Heat pattern: zhu ru 10g, huang qin 10g, chen pi 10g, fa ban xia 10g, gan cao 3g, zhi zi 6g.

Vomiting due to pregnancy

Vomiting with the symptoms of Heat in early pregnancy: zhu ru 10g, chen pi 10g, ban xia 10g, fu ling 10g, hang shao 5g.

Insomnia

Insomina due to Phlegm Heat, together with gastric discomfort: zhu ru 10g, chen pi 10g, fa ban xia 10g, zhi ke 10g, huang lian 6g, fu ling 10g, suan zao ren 12g.

Night cough

qing dai, zhu ru, 10~15g each; huang lian 8~12g, ban xia 12~18g; chen pi 15g, shen qu, fu ling, 20g each; zhi shi 10~18g; shen jiang 3 pieces. 1 dose every day. 101 out of 102 treated cases of night cough were effective.
