San Zi Yang Qin Tang was used to treat 40 cases of intractable cough, among the cases, 15 were over 60 years old, and 14 cases had the courses more than 10 years. Methods: 10ml, bid, 7 days as a course of treatment. Observe the curative effect through auto control before and after the treatment. Within three courses of treatment, 25 cases were markedly effective (62.5%), 15 effective (37.5%), no side effects were observed.
88 cases of infantile acute bronchitis were treated with San Zi Yang Qin Tang combining San Ao Tang. The curative rate was 65.9%, markedly effective rate was 86.4%, the total effective rate was 96.6%. The prescription took on marked effect after 3 doses for most patients. The ineffective cases were usually accompanied with qi deficiency of the Lung and the Spleen and insufficiency of immunologic function, from this point, the conclusion may be drawn that the curative effect may mainly focus on expelling pathogenic factors.
San Zi Yang Qin Tang was used as the main formula to treat 32 cases of plum-stone syndrome. Other herbs that had the function of clearing Heat and removing Toxin, regulating qi, dispelling Phlegm and relieving depression etc. were added according to TCM differentiation. Results: 15 cases were markedly effective, among which 4 cases’ symptom of foreign body sensation in the throat disappeared after 3 days’ administration; 4 cases after 4 days, 6 cases after 5 days, 1 case after 7 days; 13 cases were effective; 4 ineffective, the total effective rate was 87.5%.
