Ingredients
Calcium sulphate (Shi Gao, Gypsum)
Rehmannia glutinosa (Shu Di, processed rehmannia)
Ophiopogon japonicus (Mai Dong, ophiopogon)
anemarrhena aspheloides (Zhi Mu, anemarrhena)
achyranthes bidentata (Niu Xi, achyranthes)

Indications
*  Stomach-Heat and yin deficiency.
*  With the appropriate key symptoms, this formula can be used to treat biomedical conditions such as mouth ulcers seen in acute stomatitis and glossitis, etc.

*  red tongue
*  yellow and dry tongue fur

Combinations
*  With excessive Stomach Fire and Fluid deficiency, combine with Zeng Ye Tang.
*  With constipation, add Da Huang.
*  With Kidney yin deficiency, combine with Han Lian Cao/Nu Zhen Zi.
Dosage
The typical dose is three grams twice daily, before meals. In severe cases or the early stages of treatment (the first two weeks), a 50-100% increase in dose may be used, then reduced as the treatment takes effect.
