Major therapeutic action
Supplements constitution, strengthens the body’s fluids and heat, strengthens reproduction.

 Dosage
The typical proportion when added to a constitutional formula is 6:1 formula to addition (15 grams in 75- 90 grams of formula). If a stronger effect is desired more can be added. When used alone the dose is three grams twice daily. This combination can be quite heating, so it is usually best to start with a small dose (10 grams per 100 grams formula) and gradually increase it.

Indications
*  Essential for all patterns of weak constitutions, especially those associated with infertility, including sperm and male reproductive disorders.
*  Premature ageing, greying hair, loss of hearing, impotence, weakness, urinary disorders.
*  Failure to thrive, delayed development in children.
*  Chronic non-healing ulcers and sores.

 
Combinations
*  With Liu Wei Di Huang Wan for infertility and sperm disorders with weakness and lethargy and a weak pulse, as well as failure to thrive in children.
