Ingredients
Rehmannia glutinosa (Sheng Di, raw rehmannia)
Cephalanoplos segetum (Xiao Ji, common ephalanoplos
herb)
Talcum (Hua Shi)
Akebia trifolata (Mu Tong, akebia)
Lopatherum gracile (Dan Zhu Ye, lophatherum)
Typhae angustifolia (Pu Huang, cattail pollen)
Nelumbo nucifera (Ou Jie, lotus rhizome node)
Angelica sinensis (Dang Gui, Chinese angelica)
Gardenia jasminoides (Shan Zhi Zi, gardenia)
Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Gan Cao, liquorice)

Major therapeutic action
Cools Blood, stops bleeding, clears Heat, treats Stranguria.

Biomedical action
Haemostatic.

Indications
o  Stranguria with blood or blood in the urine due to Heat coagulation in the lower Jiao.
o  With the appropriate key symptoms, this formula can be used to treat biomedical conditions such as acute urinary infection or urinary calculi.

Dosage
The typical dose is three grams twice daily, before meals. In severe cases or the early stages of treatment (the first two weeks), a 50-100% increase in dose may be used, then reduced as the treatment takes effect.
