Ingredients
Terra Flava Usta (Zao Xin Tu, ignited yellow earth)
Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Gan Cao, liquorice)
Rehmannia glutinosa (Gan Di Huang, dried rehmannia)
Atractylodes macrocephala (Bai Zhu, atractylodes)
Aconitum carmichaeli (Fu Zi, aconite)
Equus asinus (E Jiao, ass-hide glue)
Scutellaria baicalensis (Huang Qin, scute)

Major therapeutic action
Warms yang, strengthens the Spleen, nourishes Blood and stops bleeding.

Haemostatic.

Indications
o  Spleen yang deficiency, deficient Cold of the middle Jiao.
o  With the appropriate key symptoms, this formula can be used to treat biomedical conditions such as chronic gastrointestinal bleeding and dysfunctional uterine bleeding, etc.

Dosage
The typical dose is three grams twice daily, before meals. In severe cases or the early stages of treatment (the first two weeks), a 50-100% increase in dose may be used, then reduced as the treatment takes effect.
