Ingredients
Atractylodes macrocephala (Bai Zhu, atractylodes)
Dioscorea opposita (Shan Yao, dioscorea)
Panax ginseng (Ren Shen, ginseng)
Paeonia alba (Bai Shao, white peony)
Plantago asiatica (Che Qian Zi, plantago)
Atractylodes lancea (Cang Zhu, blue atractylodes)
Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Gan Cao, liquorice)
Citrus reticulata (Chen Pi, citrus peel)
Schizonepeta tenuifolia (Jing Jie sui, schizonepeta)
Bupleurum chinense (Chai Hu, bupleurum)

Major therapeutic action
Nourishes the Centre, strengthens the Spleen, removes Dampness, stops discharge.

Biomedical action
Treating leucorrhoea.

Indications
o  Damp in lower Jiao.
o  With the appropriate key symptoms, this formula can be used to treat biomedical conditions such as chronic vaginitis, chronic cervicitis and leukorrhoea.

Key symptoms for use
o  thin and white or yellowish vaginal discharge without special odour
o  pale complexion
o  fatigue
o  loose stool
o  pale tongue with whitish fur
o  weak and soft pulse

Combinations
The typical dose is three grams twice daily, before meals. In severe cases or the early stages of treatment (the first two weeks), a 50-100% increase in dose may be used, then reduced as the treatment takes effect.
