Rehmannia glutinosa (Shu Di, processed rehmannia)
Morinda officinalis (Ba Ji Tian, morinda)
Cornus officinalis (Shan Zhu Yu, cornus)
Dendrobium nobile (Shi Hu, dendrobium stem)
Cistanche salsa (Rou Cong Rong, broomrape)
aconitum carmichaeli (Zhi Fu Zi, aconite)
Schizandra chinensis (Wu Wei Zi, schizandra)
Cinnamomun cassia (Rou Gui, cinnamon bark)
Poria cocos (Fu Ling, hoelen)
Ophiopogon japonicus (Mai Dong, ophiopogon)
acorus gramineus (Shi Chang Pu, sweetflag)
Polygala sibiricum (Yuan Zhi, polygala)

Major therapeutic action
Nourishes Kidney yin, invigorates Kidney yang, opens orifices, resolves Phlegm.

Biomedical action
anti-inflammatory, lowers serum ET, MDP and CRP, protects endangium.

*  With the appropriate key symptoms, this formula can be used to treat biomedical conditions such as carotid arteriosclerosis, cerebral arteriosclerosis, hypertension and sequela of apoplexy, etc.

Cautions and contraindications

Acute Infection.

Dosage
The typical dose is three grams twice daily, before meals. In severe cases or the early stages of treatment (the first two weeks), a 50-100% increase in dose may be used, then reduced as the treatment takes effect.
